i'm sick today (as usual) and i was watching the music channels and i found this one cover of the Bon Iver song "Skinny Love" sung by a 16 year old whose stage name is "Birdy." it's really good. and i mean REALLY good. the way she sings it sorta sounds like that Ed Sheeran song "The A Team." haunting but not sad. i don't know why this girl hasn't gotten more noticed. yes, i know that the video for Skinny Love has nearly 20 million views on You Tube but it's never gotten onto the radio. anyway, enough chit-chat, here's the song:
i seriously can't believe she's only 16 and can sing like THAT! i have this song on replay on You Tube. she's taken it a few keys higher so she can sing it like she does. i like that. sorry i haven't put up that cover of Bring Me To Life but my singing teacher keeps forgetting to send me the version with the backing track a few keys lower. anyway, enjoy!
