just an update on my own musical-ness

well that was random.

anyway...i heard the song Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day the other time on the radio and right after, they played Going Under by Evanescence :D it was a good car ride home. i'm actually listening to Boulevard right now and it's actually a really good song to get you calmed down when you've had a mind-meltdown after asking yourself big questions. i'm slightly wondering how singers can change their voices to suit a song, i mean, look at American Idiot. they're by the same band but they sound completely different. interesting....

anyway i finally managed to perfect playing the octave scale (yeah i found out it wasn't spelt octive) backwards and it's actually really tricky to do when you've gotten so used to playing it forwards. i can now happily say that i can play both ways at the same speed. :D sometimes, i think my teacher is purposely making the guitar homework i do harder. soon he'll make me learn how to tab my own songs by ear O_O also, i was appointed the choir's guitarist. i figured it was better than band because you need to be at school soooo early :( 

you know, i'm just listening to the song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and even though i was really little at the time and all music sounded the same to me, i can still remember sitting in the car with the radio on and this song being played on Nova 96.9 or 104.1 2Day FM. i think they still play it on Mix 106.5. it's a nice song. wow i realise i can still remember when the MCR songs Helena and Welcome to the Black Parade came out. weird memory, i know. 

last Thursday, i was checking out the US albums chart and One Direction was in at no.6 but The Used's new album Vulnerable was in at no.8!!!!! yay! can't wait when it gets released in Australia :) i'm gonna buy it even if it costs a lot. i really like their new music. 

remember when i said i bout the Nirvana album In Utero? i played it when my mum was in the room and she said "I knew you were into music like MCR but i didn't know you liked hippie music as well!" hehe. she heard some Nirvana music before so it's not like it was a new thing for her. i love my mum :) she sings MCR and humms The Used while she's driving. that is about the 100th time i've mentioned that -_- sorry for telling you that again.
