"Now fly, Triumph!"

the title is the last sentence in this book i recently finished reading. it was a really nice touch if you looked back on the story as a whole. the book's called "The Opposite Of Music" by an author named Janet Ruth Young and it's basically about a teenager named Billy who's dad (Bill) is suffering from really bad depression. he gets better in the end and i highly recommend to anyone who understands brain stuff. if you don't understand brain stuff, this book is gonna get real confusing. i'm hungry....i haven't eaten anything for 7.5 hours and considering my lunch was a sandwich (small-ish sized) and a tomato, i do have a right to be hungry. i'm not on a diet or anything...just that there's not really much time to prepare a really fancy sandwich filled with stuff like ham and cheese and lettuce with tomato and mayonnaise in the mornings (anyway, i don't eat ham.)

oh shit....just pressed publish....MUST REVERT TO DRAFT O_O

done :D i'm listening to Revenge by Mindless Self Indulgence right now. it's gotta be their best song...WHY CAN'T I GO THE SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL THIS YEAR?! so many good bands....not gonna be able to see them :( even my guitar teacher agrees that outdoor music festivals are better, since the decibels aren't packed inside an arena...plus i could always wear ear-plugs. problem solved. new problem: all the tickets to the Sydney show are sold out. it's one of Aus' biggest rock music fest so i'm really not that surprised. oh well, there's still good bands out there. enough, anyway.

there's only a week and 2 days of school left until the Spring holidays. excited. just for those who don't know, kids in Aus do get 3 months of school holidays but they're split between 10 week terms so the kids don't get tired throughout the year. we have half of December off, and pretty much the whole of January so we can enjoy the start of Summer and have plenty of time to celebrate Christmas. then after that it goes "10 school weeks, 2 weeks off" until we get back to December. but apparently it changes when we get to Uni which will probably be confusing. (mental reminder = ask brother later) in my opinion it's better than giving the kids 3 months off then making them work in school continuously for 9 months because they'd probably get just plain tired. i know me and all my friends would.

all of the homework is GONE. TERMINADO. OBSOLETE. whatever you want to say but it's gone! yay! i can finally read again. with all the HW we were given it was hard to just time out and read a good book. i managed on average to only be able to read a small-ish book once every 2 weeks which is probably really bad for my reading skills. another thing i couldn't do that much was blog which i kinda missed doing. all i had time for was checking other people's blogs which, completely and utterly, sucked.

dinner. bye!

  2. Dude, I wanna go to the Soundwave festival so bad!!!!!!!! I looked at the setlist this year and it's like 11 of my favorite bands all in one place. INCLUDING A PERFECT CIRCLE. That just doesn't happen. I wish the US got amazing music festivals. I mean, there's Uproar and Warped Tour, but those often have lame setlists.

    1. heh....Australia tries hard with their headlining acts when it comes to music festivals :) and yeah i really wanted to go as well, but like i said, the tix are all sold out :( some jerk-o people buy like, 20 tickets online in one go and then sell them on eBay for 3X more than what they paid. it happens a lot for the soundwave so there's another reason i wasn't surprised about all of them being sold out. my guitar teacher actually told me he was trying to buy them online but he was too late and didn't get any, but he also told me that 1 ticket was like $280 AUS.
